さて、WMCに向けて各レーベルが次のトレンド争奪戦が勃発するシーズンに突入致しましたが、皆様は先を見据えたチョイスをされておりますでしょうか？近年UKをはじめ各国に飛び火しているNu Disco / Re-Edit も既に定着し、日本でも筆者の私を含め一部アンダーグラウンドで熱狂的な支持者が増えてきましたね!! そして、Nu Discoって一体どんな音楽なの?という方もまだまだ多いのも事実。そんなあなたに入門編として最適なコンピレーション・アルバムの登場です。
既に5作目となるNeed Want発の”Future Disco”、今回の選曲・mixを担当するのはSean Brosnan、初心者から上級者まで幅広くカヴァーするであろうセレクト、好感触ですね。既にNu Disco diggerにはお馴染みのCrazy P、Tensnake、Maxxi Soundsystemの楽曲をはじめ、徐々に頭角を現してきたBonar BradberryやMario Basanovもピックアップ。全体を通して80′s Boogieの色が強めに出ており、Clubでは勿論のこと、さまざまなシチュエーションで聴いても心地よい展開となっており休日のドライブやホームパーティー、そしてランニング等のトレーニング中でも邪魔にならないライトなタッチで快適な時間を過ごせるでしょう。発売は2012年2月21日予定、なおトラックリストは下記参照の事。
